Serving Tray - Wood

How to create a decorative wooden tray for your dining room table:

First, take the wood to your local building supplies store and have them pre-cut the pieces. You will need a tray base and four pieces to create the sides of the tray. The sides should be cut on a 45 degree angle. Buy simple drawer pulls.

Next, sand all the surfaces of the wood with 200 grid sand paper. On the two end wood pieces, mark off the centre point of where the handle should go. Drill two holes into the wood and screw the handle to the wood.

Finally, using a nail gun, attach all the sides to the base.

Varnish all the wood and step back to admire your new natural and homey looking tray.
