1. Architectural detail is a selling feature - something memorable for potential homebuyers when they are shopping around for houses. Add a wall treatment such as paneling as a focus for the room. Trim and crown molding will also increase the value of your home.

2. An urban garden should be a place where potential homebuyers feel welcomed and comfortable. Create an oasis in your backyard with different levels of plants to please the eye. Use pea gravel instead of flagstone in your garden - it is cheaper yet still soft on the feet.
