Kitchen Cupboard Staining

Create a more urban atmosphere in your dated kitchen by staining your cupboards with a dark rich colour.

Directions:

1. Choose a deep shade of gel stain that compliments the rest of your decor.

2. Prepare the cupboards by lightly scuffing the areas to be stained -- because you are using gel stain, which sits on top of the original finish of the cupboards, you don't have to strip off the old finish to do this project.

3. Gel stain is thick which makes it easy to apply: Just brush on a light coat of stain and while the product is still wet, lightly drag your paintbrush through it in the direction of the wood grain.

Your old wooden cupboards are easily and inexpensively updated!
