Looking back, Angela often wonders how she ever let things get so out of control! ROBYN GUNN – Cash Counsellor
Robyn was a social worker who was passionate about her career choice but disappointed with her salary. Shortly after her divorce, she accumulated more than $12,000 in debt and was struggling to keep up her bill payments. With the encouragement of the other Smart Cookies, she invested in herself by going back to school to get her Master’s degree in Social Work. The result - a huge jump in pay, allowing her to slice her debt in half and purchase a second condo which she shares with her pampered pooch, Lucy. Robyn is skilled at understanding the psychology of spending and this 'Cash Counsellor' is an expert at getting others to open up about their money matters and help them find creative solutions to bad spending habits.
SANDRA HANNA – Savvy Spender
Sandra, a public relations manager, had $2,000 in credit card debt but a real fear of managing money. She was quickly depleting her savings account trying to pay off her debt and support her new single lifestyle after moving out of her parents’ home. Today, she’s a true Smart Cookie, having paid off her debt and started a retirement savings plan. With a new found confidence, she is living the life she always imagined.
