Episode 7: Shakes and Beers in the Park

Episode Outline: A mouse problem conspires to keep Brigitte from getting a script from her agent. Attempting to fix one thing, leads to trying to fix another - which leads to Brigitte ripping out the carpet in her office and replacing it with a very New York Loft style particle board floor.

Reality Check: When we redid the floor downstairs in the dining room (episode 4) - we found some very damaged wide plank flooring underneath. Hopeful that we'd find wide plank flooring in much better shape in the office - I pulled up the carpet and discovered…sheets of mismatched plywood. AAAAaaaarrrgg! What now?!!

A quick fix was to put down a particle board floor, then stain and varnish it.

The smell of varnish still hanging in the air, I used a very nasty adhesive to attach sheets of cork to the wall - this was my new cork 'board'. There were enough glue fumes in that room to give a entire herd of Wholly Mammoth's a body high .

For three days, at the height of summer, in a small room, in the top floor of a house - an entire film crew tried very hard not to breath.
