Episode 25: Something About Ted

Murray Oliver has had the unfortunate happenstance to be in two episodes where heavy lifting, back breaking labor, and planting things has been involved.

A skid of Nova Scotia slate (each piece weighed in at around 80lbs each) was delivered the day we began shooting this episode. Tim and I stood next to the HUGE skids of slate and started laughing (It was one of those close to insanity laughs that wasn't 'ha ha' funny, rather, 'oh shit' kind of laughs.).

You see, in the episode, I was supposed to be doing all of the garden work myself, but when we saw the 5 tonnes of Scotia Slate (no joke) - we knew that mamma was going to need some help.

Thank Oden and all of the old world gods that Murray was able to come and help us in such short notice.

Needless to say, the story line had to be revised, and last minute details needed to be changed - but let me say this about that - nothing, and I mean NOTHING could have happened if Murray hadn't helped out.

Now, if I could just get him to come and help me do the same kind of garden at my cottage, but every time I call, he and his wife Alison and their girls are just about to go out.

What up wid that??
