Episode 14: Lost and Found
Okay, here's what I thought. Installing a gas fireplace in my home would require a team of crack gas experts all with previous work experience on the Hibernia Oil Fields.
Turns out - I have a fear of gas. Not my own mind you - that's just uncomfortable, and sometimes awkward. No, I'm referring to the kind of gas for BBQ's and Fireplaces that can be brought into your home.
I don't know, maybe I was dinosaur in my past life. Maybe, one day, there I was eating Ginko leaves, and the next? A ball of natural gas erupted under my feet, and that was the end of me and my pea sized brain. So, when we decided to install a natural gas fireplace, that nagging fear was still there. What if, one day, there I was sitting in front of the fireplace and the next - 'woof'! .
What??!!
I know I'm not the only one who has that fear…
I learned three things the day Anthony helped me install the fireplace:
- it wasn't that hard.
- the guy who installs your gas line is an expert, and will tell you all about how your shut off valves work, and you will not blow up.
- not all the dinosaurs died out during the last ice age.
