Between raising two children and caring for elderly parents, Yvonne and David were struggling with a debt load of over $35,000. Alison put them on a plan to rescue them from risking their family ties and their children's futures.
Alison's recommendations:
- Cut back on spending, on everything, from cash withdrawals to tutoring
- Target debt and increase payments on high interest borrowing
- Redirect retirement savings into education funds for kids
- Yvonne must make at least $800 more a month
- Join a support group for caregivers to help deal with the pressure
