EPISODE 4 - JACQUELINE AND TED

Money coach Ayse Hogan finds discovers Jacqueline and Ted have more than just a money problem ? They also have a relationship problem. Ayse says they need to split up financially in order to make this relationship work.

Ayse asks them to follow these three steps:

  • Stop sharing a credit card - they each need their own.

  • Write down what they each spend on the house over the period of one month. At the end of the month, one of them needs to cut the other a cheque.

  • They need to work on their relationship. Jacqueline mothers Ted and tries to run the show. The problem is that there were no boundaries set when they moved in. Ted on the other hand needs to stop procrastinating around the house and must insist Jacqueline stop treating him like a child.

Ayse tells Robyn it should take her two years to pay down what took her 10 years to accumulate. Ayse encourages Robyn to be proud of who she is and to adopt a more positive outlook.
