Craig picked the colour for the dining room on his own and it's a source of tension for the couple. Amy feels that this is a key room for them and can't understand why Craig didn't consult before painting. They consulted on the colours for the entire house except for this room. Craig's attempt to surprise Amy failed miserably, as the dining room is the one place they really use together as a couple and the only room they didn't pick colours together for.
