Tips

EPISODE 33 - To Grandmother's House We Go

Tips:

  • When decorating a room, always remember that the largest piece of furniture should be placed the furthest away from the door. This will make the room look bigger. Large items, such as a kitchen pantry, placed close to the door, shows that there is a lack of storage space in that room. The pantry will look out of place, will make the room look awkward and could possibly scare away potential buyers.
  • With problems walls, instead of taking off the wallpaper before painting, just paint over it. If the wallpaper has a vinyl coating, it won't come off if primed. Even better - if the wallpaper has nice texture to it, your wall will look great once covered in paint. Make sure to smooth out the wallpaper seams with spackle before you prime so the seams don't show.
