Tips:

  • If you have many different colours and designs of switchplates around a room, change them all to white. This gives visual flow to a room and it costs next to nothing.
  • Wondering if you should remove your security company sign from your lawn or front door? Consider leaving it: prospective buyers will likely consider it a selling feature to know that an expensive installation has already been done.
  • A lot of small things scattered around a room give it an unfocussed, cluttered feel. Creating a focal point with a large piece of art - a contemporary black and white print with a black frame would be great - helps to draw the eye to one spot and grounds the room.
