Tyrel Abbott, Fashion Director

Canada’s “wedding whisperer” is beloved by his brides for his knack for knowing how to make the dreams of every bride he meets come true.

After years of being inspired by the strong women in his Alberta-rooted family, one of Tyrel’s first jobs was working at his aunt’s jewellery store where he quickly fell in love with all things bling. Not content to stop there, Tyrel pursued the field of hair styling, becoming a master colourist and extension specialist. Ultimately, he entered the world of bridal fashion where he would soon establish himself as one of Canada’s most trusted names in the business.

Now a freelance wedding consultant, his magpie eye for shiny things, irrepressible joie de vivre and wealth of experience in the world of weddings make him the ideal Fashion Director for Say Yes To The Dress Canada.

Rachelle Pollari, Owner

Growing up in the small Ontario hamlet of Hanmer, Rachelle Pollari (nee Foucault) always knew she wanted to pursue her love of fashion.  Following her studies in Fashion Technique and Design at Sheridan College, Rachelle started working for a couture manufacturer of evening and bridal gowns, where she met a young businessman and dress buyer, Sam Pollari.

Following their marriage a full-fledged career in the wedding industry followed, as Sam and Rachelle opened Amanda-Lina’s Sposa Boutique in 1995.   Rachelle enjoys travelling with Sam as they hunt for the best quality and most beautiful bridal gowns for the boutique each season.  She also oversees all the custom alterations done in-house at Amanda-Lina’s.  The boutique’s success reflects the perfect combination of Rachelle’s great eye for fashion design and her naturally warm, welcoming hospitality, with Sam’s family history in the bridal industry and savvy business mind.
