Chesapeake Shores
Show synopsis:

Chesapeake Shores is an idyllic beach town on the Maryland coast where everyone knows your name and your business. And for Abby O’brien Winters, who is returning home after her younger sister, Jess O’brien, calls needing help with the financials of her work in progress B&B, that might not be so welcome.

Abby has spent the past fifteen years in New York City, building a prestigious career as an executive in Capital Management and raising two young daughters, Carrie and Caitlyn Winters, since recently divorcing her husband of ten years, Wes Winters. Being a single mother has its challenges, and Abby knows that by giving her daughters a good life, she hasn’t always been around to enjoy it.

Then, when Abby’s grandmother, Nell O’brien falls ill and is hospitalized in Chesapeake Shores, her intended weekend stay gets prolonged, bringing the entire O’Brien clan home for Fourth of July. Reunited for the first time in years, the O’Brien siblings, Abby, Kevin, Bree, Connor, and Jess, and their parents, Mick and Megan O’brien, have a lot of catching up to do, after years of built up walls of assumptions and resentments.

After all, the Maryland town the O’Brien family helped build comes with many memories. When Abby was 18, her parents divorced, leaving Abby and her four younger siblings to live with Mick and their grandmother Nell in Chesapeake Shores while Megan moved north to New York where she began a career at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City. This has had lasting repercussions for every one of the O’Briens, shaping their lives in unique ways.

For Abby, being home not only means managing her fractured family but also reconnecting with TRACE RILEY, her high school sweetheart and the man she left behind fifteen years ago. But Abby soon remembers there is something special about Chesapeake Shores. The slower pace offers her daughters the opportunity for a well-rounded life, and for Abby, the promise for a second chance at finding love, if she were to consider moving home full time, or at least for the summer.

Abby has a lot to think about: how this move will affect her family, children, and the custody battle with her ex-husband, as well as her career at Capital Management.
