Fall is known as the season where everyone swaps out their bright clothes for a more dark and gloomy palette. This year, the fashion gods have changed that and we absolutely love that we can still expect to see plenty of colour. Instead of opting for black and grey tops, why not give cobalt blue,  poppy red, or bright green a try? We know the sunny hues will help wash the winter blues away.

In the photo above, Jillian has gotten the bold trend down to a tee. A bright red top, reminiscent of the changing leaves, is perfect for the fall. But don't dress head-to-toe in bold and bright colours; balance is key! A sleek pair of jeans, like Jillian's, will compliment any bold colour that you decide to wear on top.

This fall, bold shades can also be found on our beloved accessories. Coloured scarves, bags, and shoes are a great way to dip your toes into the trend and help add interest to otherwise neutral outfits. We love this bright purple Echo Design scarf. It's a super simple way to keep warm and its multicoloured hue means it will match most of your outfits.

Or you could try a hot pink crossbody purse- it's fun and super flirty! Once again, balance is key; pair your bright bag with neutral clothes.

But if you're not ready to go all out, why not try something darker, like these Rebecca Taylor trousers in bordeaux. The deep wine shade acts as a neutral, meaning you can pair these bad boys with literally anything. Plus, these trousers will easily take you from the office to drinks with the girls!

Those of you who live on the bold side, bright outerwear is a great way to show off your style. This one by Nicholas is the perfect shade of blue and is super structured!
