Our love for Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan goes way back, so we're thrilled to have them as the resident judges in this season of Game of Homes!

Well-known interior designers, style commentators, Hollywood celebrity interviewers and all round lifestyle gurus who hail from Glasgow, Scotland, the duo have hosted 11 television series that air worldwide! Bringing this expertise to the series, in each episode of Game of Homes, Colin and Justin vote for their favourite room renovations based on design and workmanship, working alongside a stellar cast of celebrity guest judges. In the finale, in addition to the judges, the public also casts their votes, and in the dramatic and life-changing conclusion, the winning team is awarded their spectacular new home.

We asked them to give us a glimpse into their lives off the screen, so grab a cuppa and get to know Colin & Justin a little better!

What's one quirky thing you can reveal about your partner?

Colin: Justin speaks fluent French and speaks it with a posh Bordelaise accent!

Justin: Colin is a huge 1970’s disco fan and dreams of being in Studio 54 in 1977 listening to Donna Summer’s ‘I Feel Love’.

What's your most bizarre talent?

Colin: For some weird reason, I know all of the lyrics to 'Rappers Delight' by the Sugarhill Gang and 'The Devil Went Down to Georgia by the Charlie Daniels Band.

Justin: I’m the cat whisperer! Even the wildest pussy or the most feral of kitties is like putty in my hands. Hey, I’m like the Dave Salmoni of the domestic cat world!

If you won the lottery, what would you do with the money?

Both: We’d build a huge house with a multi-car garage with a full time mechanic and driver. And we’d share everything with friends and family, so that they could travel the globe with us -- First class of course! We’d also give a huge chunk to charity. You can only enjoy so much, right?

What’s the next country to visit on your bucket-list?

Both: Thailand!

If you hadn't become design gurus what would you be doing instead?

Colin: I’d love to have become a fashion designer – I could be a bearded Victoria Beckham!

Justin: I’d be a florist and have a stylish florist with café attached – lovely!

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

Colin: I’m actually desperate to do a photography course, I take great pics but want to know more about light balancing, etc.

Justin: I’d love to learn to surf…

What, or who, motivates you do to what you do?

Both: We’re both motivated by each other – it’s amazing working with your partner, especially if you have shared goals and don’t feel like you have to compete with each other. We’re blessed!

What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?

Both: Learn to laugh at yourself and you’ll never cease to be amused!

And finally, as unofficial (but charming) Scottish ambassadors, can you share an interesting fact about Scotland with us?

Colin: The two first Prime Ministers of Canada, John A. Macdonald (1815-1891) and Alexander Mackenzie (1822-1892), were Scottish. Famous Scottish inventions include the television, developed by John Logie Baird in 1925 and the telephone by Alexander Graham Bell. So if it hadn’t been for Scots, we wouldn’t have a television to be on!

Justin: Haggis still roam free in the Highlands of Scotland and have in fact become a protected species due to their popularity as a delicious Scottish dish.
