Parenthood is an entertaining ride for most and the Hockey Wives are no exception. From finding out the big news to family getaways, the Hockey Wives give us the lowdown on the parenting life.

What went through your mind when you first found out you were expecting (your first baby)? Can you tell us if there was a special way you shared the news with loved ones?

Angela Price: "I was in shock, but super happy. We had been trying for a few months so it was kind of a relief. I didn't have a special way to tell Carey. I just texted him to come home and told him. It was super simple, but a moment we will always remember. We are strong believers that we don't have to make a big deal in order for things to be special." (Photo credit: Twitter/@ByAngelaPrice)

Kodette LaBarbera: "Ryder was a surprise! The best one ever! But we had a bunch of company coming the day we found out so all I could think about was trying to hide it for the time being!"

Rhianna Weaver: "OMG, this is really happening!"

What was the biggest surprise about your pregnancy?

Kodette LaBarbera: "Getting traded when I was 9 months pregnant was a bit of a shocker! Everything else went smoothly." (Photo credit: Twitter/@KodetteLaBarbs)

Rhianna Weaver: "Could I really get this nauseous and eat this much bread from all the baby hormones."

Paige Getzlaf: "The sex of the baby. We didn't find out Ryder was a boy until he was born."

Best piece of advice you've ever given or received about becoming a parent?

Paige Getzlaf: "To enjoy everyone moment (the good and the bad, the easy and the hard) because they grow up so fast and you will miss it." (Photo credit: Twitter/@paige_getzlaf)

Rhianna Weaver: "Don't compare yourself to anyone else. If you need help, ask! It sounds cheesy, but it really does take a village."

Kodette LaBarbera: "I always tell people that having a child with autism is the coolest thing I have ever experienced. It's the most amazing thing to see the world through their eyes."

Angela Price: "Don't let other people's judgements or "suggestions" get to you. Everyone seems to have an opinion, so I am finding that piece of advice useful."

If you had a whole afternoon to yourself (kid-free!), what would you do with it?

Rhianna Weaver: "Kid and Mike-free, I would probably sit in the house alone and watch one of my TV shows! Enjoying the silence and alone time!" (Photo credit: Twitter/@rhiannaweaver)

Kodette LaBarbera: "Go for a massage, take a nap, eat in bed and wander Target solo!"

Best family vacation ever and why? (Where did you go, what did you do that stood out, etc.?)

Kodette LaBarbera: "We took the boys to Maui after the hockey season one year. They love the water so it was fun to be there and explore!" (Photo credit: Twitter/@KodetteLaBarbs)

Paige Getzlaf: "Best family vacation was our camping trip to the beach. It gave us time to just enjoy each other with out the day-to-day chaos of TVs, phones etc. The simple life is the best life."

Angela Price: "Carey and I went to Hawaii a few years ago. It was Carey's first time but I had been there quite a few times so I had a great time taking him to some of my favorite spots. It was relaxing but adventurous, and ended up being the perfect trip."

You can see Kodette, Angela, Paige and Rhianna in new episodes of Hockey Wives every Wednesday at 10 E/P, #OnlyOnW!
