What are the different types of Acne?
There are two types of Acne:
Superficial acne
This type is characterized by blackheads, whiteheads, papules, pimples, and superficial cysts This type of acne does not usually leave scars.
Deep acne
Deep acne is characterized by the same signs as the superficial form; however, it also includes inflamed lumps and pus-filled cysts under the surface of the skin. The cysts often rupture and become abscesses, which can then open onto the surface of the skin. The infection in deep acne may spread and cause more pus-filled lesions or cysts, which may leave scars upon bursting or rupturing.
