W Network.com takes your electronic privacy seriously. We do not share any personally identifiable information without your prior approval, and we do not send you e-mail without your prior approval.

This statement describes the privacy practices of W Network.com as follows: What personally identifiable information of yours is collected; What organization is collecting the information; How the information is used; With whom the information may be shared; What choices are available to you regarding collection, use and distribution of the information; What kind of security procedures are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of information under the company's control; How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

There are two kinds of information Web sites can obtain about you:

Aggregate Information: Aggregated information is anonymous data that Web sites use to diagnose problems on the sites servers, administer the sites and to help improve the quality of the Web pages. It may be your domain name (i.e. "aol.com") or your IP address. It can also be your age or occupation or income level or other information that you provide, that helps Web sites understand the kinds of people who are using their sites. None of this identifies who you are in any way as long as it is not attached to your name, street address or e-mail address.

Personally Identifiable Information: Any time you type in your name or e-mail address or your snail mail address with your age, occupation, income or interests, for example, you are providing personally identifiable information. Some of this is necessary as when you order products online or sign up with an ISP (Internet Service Provider) or subscribe to an e-mail newsletter. Other times, Web sites collect this information to help target advertising and marketing.

When a user lands at W Network.com we may collect the visitor's IP address, browser type (Netscape or Internet Explorer, for example) and domain (i.e. "aol.com"). The information may be used in the aggregate to help diagnose problems with our servers, to administer the Web site and to gather broad demographic information. None of it is personally identifiable information.

The information we collect is used to improve the content of our site and to learn about the patterns of our site. From time to time, we do share general demographic information with advertisers or potential advertisers. Profiles of individual users are shared with our third party advertisers and/or sponsors only after you have provided your approval.

Surveys

Sometimes W Network.com posts surveys in which we do ask for personally identifiable information. The questions often include your e-mail address and demographic information, like age and income level. If you approve by opting in, we might use that information: To send you information about the Web site and our affiliates; To pass on to some of our content partners who may e-mail you promotional material We will always tell you how the information will be used in that instance. If there is information we would like to have but is not crucial, it will be indicated on the page, and on that same page you will always have a choice with regard to being contacted by W Network.com.

Contests and Sweepstakes

From time to time W Network.com runs contests and sweepstakes in which we ask contestants for contact information. That's so we can let you know if you win. We may sometimes request demographic information such as age, gender and income level. And once in a while -- though not often -- we may require demographic information in exchange for the right to enter the contest.

We use contact information: to notify contestants when they win a contest; to send you information about the Web site and our affiliates; and/ or, after you have provided your approval, to pass on to our content partners, advertisers and/or sponsors who may send you promotional e-mail or other product information.

You will usually have a choice as to whether or not to provide the demographic information. There will always be a choice with regard to being contacted by W Network.com or the contest host may use that information to contact you if you've won the contest.

If you get lucky and win one of our contests or sweepstakes, we will not publish your name, hometown or other personally identifiable information on the site unless you give us your permission.

We may use third parties to assist in Contest administration and for fulfillment of contest prizing. All third parties are required to strictly comply with the W Network Privacy Policy and Canadian privacy law.

Opt-In/Opt-Out

We do not sell or otherwise share personally identifiable information about individual users without the prior approval of the user at the place on our site where we collect the information. On the page where we ask for that information, there is a prominently displayed method to indicate to us that you do or do not want to receive promotional and/or marketing information about products, services and offerings from W Network.com. Check the appropriate box and your information may be used as described above. Leave it blank, and we consider it an opt-out. Either way, it is always your choice.

Questions/Comments/E-mail

Throughout W Network.com there are links to email feedback forms that provide you the opportunity to send W Network.com e-mail to comment and ask questions. Your e-mail address is required on this form so we can answer your questions. As always, we do not sell or share this information with any third parties, and it is not used by W Network.com for any purpose beyond answering your correspondence and communicating your concerns with our management.

Third Parties

We may provide links and pointers to Internet sites maintained by others ("third party sites"). We have not reviewed all of the third party sites which may be linked to the Site and are not responsible for the contents of or any products or services offered in such third-party Sites. W Network.com uses reasonable efforts to ensure that all information posted on our site conforms to this privacy policy, but we do not control, and are not responsible for, the content or privacy policies of our affiliates, our partners, advertisers or third-party Web sites to which we link.

Deleting or Modifying your Information

If you've given us personally identifiable information in the past and then have second thoughts or want to update it, please send your request or modifications via regular mail to:

Although it is not always possible to remove or modify information in the databases, we will make reasonable efforts to do so. If you've given us information for one of those third parties we mentioned above (remember, we tell you that when we ask the questions) and we've already passed it on, we cannot delete or change the information.

Security of Private Information

Any personal information you give us is kept in pass worded files on our most secure server. The only people who have that password are the few employees who are authorized to follow up in the way we describe on the page where you enter the information. But as hackers have proved worldwide, no computer security system is entirely foolproof. The most any Web site can do is make reasonable efforts, which is what we do here at W Network.com , to protect your information from loss, misuse and alteration unless sent by an unsecured means, such as e-mail).

No Personal Advice

The information contained in or made available through the W Network Sites (including but not limited to information contained on message boards, in text files, or in chats) cannot replace or substitute for the services of trained professionals in any field, including, but not limited to, financial, medical, or legal matters. In particular, you should regularly consult a doctor in all matters relating to physical or mental health, particularly concerning any symptoms that may require diagnosis or medical attention. Neither W Network nor any of its affiliated companies nor any of its or their respective licensors or suppliers make representations or warranties concerning any treatment, action, or application of medication or preparation by any person following the information offered or provided within or through the W Network Sites. Neither we nor our partners, or any of their affiliates, will be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, special, exemplary or other damages that may result, including but not limited to economic loss, injury, illness or death.

Parental Permission

Some of the information available on the W Network Sites concerns the topic of sex and may not be appropriate for children. Further, the W Network Sites are not directed to children under the age of 18 and W Network will not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT PARENTS PARTICIPATE IN THEIR CHILDREN'S EXPLORATION OF THE INTERNET AND ANY ONLINE SERVICES AND USE THEIR BROWSER'S PARENTAL CONTROLS TO LIMIT THE AREAS OF THE INTERNET TO WHICH THEIR CHILDREN HAVE ACCESS.

W Network may, at its discretion, require users under 18 to obtain the consent of a parent or guardian to view certain content, and W Network may limit access to certain content to users above a specified age. You agree to abide by any such restrictions, and not to help anyone avoid these restrictions.

Jurisdictional Issues

We control and operate this site from our offices in Canada. We do not represent that materials on the site are appropriate or available for use in other locations. Persons who choose to access this site from other locations do so on their own initiative, and are responsible for compliance with local laws, if and to the extent local laws are applicable.
