UNDERCOVER BOSS is a reality series for W that follows high level
corporate executives as they take the extraordinary step of going
undercover in their own companies to ensure that they are fighting fit
for the future. The bosses slip anonymously into the lowest level jobs
within their companies, get their hands dirty with the rank and file,
and find out what their employees REALLY think of them and discover how
smoothly their companies are REALLY run. In the process, these senior
executives learn about themselves, the perception of their company and
the spirit of their work force. They discover what needs fixing, who
deserves praising and who needs a wake up call. It’s an experience that
transforms the bosses and the people who work for them.

Fernando Aguirre, the Chairman and CEO of Chiquita Brands International, one of the largest producers and distributors of fruits and vegetables in the world and parent company of Fresh Express, goes undercover in his own company posing as an immigrant seeking the American dream. Fernando can relate to his cover story as he was born and raised in Mexico City and came to the United States at 17 to play baseball. He no longer plays baseball, but his success includes part ownership in the Cincinnati Reds.
