We asked Divine Design’s Candice Olson and Style By Jury’s Kucy Pon to give us the scoop on their weddings.

How did he propose?

Candice: Five years ago, Jurji and I went on a ski trip to Ferny for the holidays. He proposed to me on New Year’s Eve. He got down on one knee and popped the question!

Kucy: On a spa date.

What wedding favour did you give to your guests?

Candice: It wasn't a traditional wedding. We only invited 40 people to keep it intimate. Instead of giving them something that would lose its value as soon as the day was over, we decided to give them a meal they wouldn't forget. We brought in our favourite chef who created a beautiful gourmet meal, followed by imported champagne.

Kucy: Asian dishes and chopsticks.

Where did you honeymoon?

Candice: We didn't have one! I went right back to filming for Divine Design, so we couldn't fit it into our schedules. However, the following year, we went on a trip to Germany.

Kucy: Spain.

How long did it take you to find your dress?

Candice: I had my dress made from a design which I created. It was a three-piece outfit that I thought I could use in parts later. But it hasn't left my closet since - go figure!

Kucy: Not long, a few days - but I looked through tons of magazines beforehand so I was well prepared.

What kind of bouquet did you carry?

Candice: My girlfriend Lisa made me a lovely bouquet of calla lilies. It was last minute - she pulled some out lilies out of a vase and tied it with ribbon.

Kucy: Red roses.
