Who wouldn't rather sit up in First Class or Business Class, rather than the back of the bus? Anna's been bumped up front a couple of times in her travels, but she's not really sure why.

The Shopping Bags sent the Mystery Shopper (armed with her hidden camera) on a couple of plane rides to find out if she could get a free upgrade, and then invited an airline ticketing agent to comment on what she did right … and wrong!

With the state of Canadian air travel today, getting an upgrade is increasingly difficult. In fact, our mystery shopper failed to get a better seat each and every time. The ticket agent we spoke with said because Air Canada is cutting back on flights and other airlines are going out of business, planes are booked and most of those high-end seats are sold. The agent says if you still want to ask about an upgrade, at least be polite. Unruly nasty passengers never get ahead.
